Since 2014, load-bearing metal components have had to have DIN EN 1090 certification in order to be placed on the market. Be it sale or installation - DIN EN 1090 certification or CE marking is mandatory as proof of quality. Regular tests are essential for the certification of the products according to DIN EN 1090. For every project, this includes an initial test of the statics and the project requirements. In addition, the welding work may only be carried out by certified welders and welding supervisors.
The tests of the finished workpiece by visual inspection of the weld seams and other non-destructive tests (NDT) are particularly important.
Documentation
Even if all points of quality assurance and tests are carried out, they mean nothing without the documentation required for DIN 1090 certification. The tests are recorded and documented and all quality assurance procedures must also be documented in a traceable manner.
